Knotty Kraft Bazaar is a luxury crochet brand where imagination, craftsmanship, and style combine. We craft handmade pieces for babies, adults, pets, and homes, along with chic handbags and distinctive accessories that bring elegance, warmth, and personality to everyday life.

How it all started

Knottykraft Bazaar—a journey woven from passion, chance encounters, and the simple magic of crochet.

My love for crochet began in 2017 during an 18‑hour train ride from Deoghar to Delhi in India. Seated beside a young woman, I was captivated by her art: delicate crochet leaves gracefully wrapping around her charger wire. That unexpected moment revealed to me how crochet can offer a sense of solace—much like the calm of meditation or the pleasure of an engrossing book.

Inspired, I quickly ordered my first set of yarn and a crochet hook, and before I knew it, my YouTube feed was filled with tutorials. Although I once tried knitting, its precise calculations and slow pace never quite matched the immediate joy and creativity I found in crochet. My very first project—a hat for my dad—sparked a creative flame that has been burning ever since.

Fast forward five years, and I moved to the UK to pursue a PhD. Amid the challenges of a new country, unpredictable weather, health issues, a competitive job market and depression, crochet became my refuge once again. It gave me peace when everything around me was chaotic and depressed. I began crafting cosy jumpers for my puppy, Chickoo, and soon, a visit to Hobbycraft for yarn turned into a creative spree, and I decided to sell what I make. My journey took an exciting turn when I debuted at a local pop-up shop at Cardiff’s Roath Craft Market in February 2023, where I received my first custom order for a doggy jumper.

Knottykraft Bazaar was born from a desire to do something meaningful and impactful. I am dedicated to sustainable practices like rescuing yarn from charity shops, using recycled yarn as much as I can, participating in fundraisers, and donating part of my profits to those in need. Every piece I make reflects the power of creativity, the beauty of sustainable art, and the joy of giving back.
